Catch up for the week

This boy is just so cute, we can't help but take pics of him. He was waiting to get his sheets changed before bed, so he made himself one in his chair.
Reagan came to play with us one day last week. The kids love playing with their cousins!

One night, we went in to kiss the kids goodnight before we went to sleep, and Carly had gotten in bed with Chloe and they were snuggled up. It was so cute. Carly is the one with the glove on (she wears that so she is not tempted to suck her thumb)! I love the bond these girls have - it amazes me!

And Finley is right there with them! We have been telling them that when/if we move then Finley will get her own room. They aren't loving that idea!

Finley tried some broccoli tonight. Matt came home and she looked like this!

Harper was trying to get the girls to play party with him today. They were busy coloring. I felt bad for him because he wanted someone to play with so bad, so I volunteered Finley. Harper loved it! He ran and got her some toys so she wouldn't eat the metal pots (but he did give her 1 cookie). They looked so cute. They are such buddies!

Side note: For the inquiring minds - we are putting our house back on the market! We are just patiently waiting for God to tell us when it is HIS time for us to make a change! So for now, we wait..... We did go out house hunting and found a place we really like. Will let you know what comes of it!!

Carly's Book

In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday this week, we have been reading some great books. Today we read Green Eggs and Ham. I read the story, they watched the cartoon on you tube, we made green eggs and ham to eat, and then they made a book. I was quite proud of their accomplishments. They did this all by themselves! I just supervised.

She likes bananas because they are shaped like crescents! She copied the cover on Green eggs and ham - she did an awesome drawing. The ham even has the fork stuck in it like the cover!

The black this is a roll (rowl) she likes crescent rolls too! and the picture on the last page is her sitting at a table eating all her favorite things! Great job Carly!

Chloe's Book

Here is Chloe's version:

This is a picture of her. Believe it or not, it is very detailed. She even drew her belly button before drawing the shirt. This is exactly what she had on today. You can't see the eyelashes. She took her time and made sure everything was in this picture. She did a great job.
Here is her green eggs and ham. She even drew the fork in the ham and it was on on a yellow plate. Now the next picture: She loves rolls - dipping rolls. I give them a bowl of oil and balsamic vinegar to dip their roll in, so the brown blob is the roll and the purple on is the bowl with black scribbles - that is is the balsamic vinegar!

Her meat - it has a fork in it. The other is a cracker. She likes the octagon kind - that would be vegetable wheat thins. She did the speck of seasons on the cracker. She was so thorough with her pictures.

This one is my personal favorite - Jese Poos: translation - cheesy poofs! This is her eating a banana - notice the yellow on her lips. And she also added a scratch on her forhead and a scab. She is fun to sit and watch as she thinks of all this stuff. I love it! And here is her reading - we couldn't get the whole thing in, but you get the jist!

The lost pictures

Well, I was wondering why I felt I haven't blogged too much, and I figured it out! Our camera was acting up and we lost some pictures. So that is why the month of January was a little slack! I found the folder of January pictures and here are some random shots of what has been going on inside these walls (and do I ever mean inside! - It had been so cold we only went to church and dance class).

We planned our trip to Disney World and Carly and Chloe are beside themselves!! They have been practicing smiling with the Princesses. We have about 20 different poses!! Here they are Sleeping Beauty and Belle!
When the kids hear the garage door open, they fly out of their seats and run to give him hugs. On this particular day, they had him pinned down! Matt loves it and I do my best to encourage their hugs. I know Matt absolutely loves this attention!

The girls were wanting their hair curly so I put their hair in hot curlers. They thought they were beautiful! Here is Chloe with her curly locks!

And here is the Cheese (Carly comes by this nickname honestly!) She was posing like crazy. It was so funny how she was haming it up!

We had another camp out in the living room. Finley even joined in the fun. Harper got a sleeping bag for Christmas so we had to try it out. They are ready for the spring time when we can have some more campouts!

This day I had walked into the room to find these two sillies all dressed up. They looked hilarious! The outfits they come up with are outrageous!

Snow

I just realized that I never posted our pictures from our 2 boughts of snow we had. The first one was in January and was a little icy. The second one was beautiful!

Finley liked looking out the window at all the big flakes. She liked to keep her cheek pressed against the cold glass of the window.

We went out the next morning and played a little bit. Then Sunday morning, the entire road was a sheet of ice. So we put all the kids each in their own laundry basket. We hooked them together with bungy cords and then walked them down the street. They looked like their own bob sled team. It was so cute. But our camera had messed up and those pictures are gone!! They were my absolute favorite pictures and they disappeared in digital space. So sad! But we still have the memories (and I think I took some home video of it!)

This was the second snow. It was so pretty coming down, so we let the kids stay up late and go play in it at night. We went for a walk and it was so magestic looking. We really enjoyed it.

Here is how Miss Finley plays in the snow! We bundled her up in a laundry basket and pulled her around. She loved it! It was kind of bright out so she needed some glasses!

Snow is fun once or twice a year and that is it! Bundling up 4 kids to go outside is a pain. But I guess if we had snow equipment it wouldn't be so bad. As you can see we use feet pajamas as a snow suit!

I can do it all by myfelf!!

Harper has become quite independent lately. He loves to go to the bathroom all by himfelf (no I'm not typing wrong, that is how he says his s's - f). I love when he comes running to tell me he did it, and then he walks away with his pants all rolled up in the back, underwear haging out, or two legs in the same hole. It is very amusing. He also has taken an interest in getting dressed. He is doing very well, but sometimes he makes for some great pictures:

Here he is with one leg of his underwear handing out the back. One I took his pants off, he had both legs in one leg hole, but it was all around his waist like a belt.
Today he came out like this. I don't understand why he thought he was going to go off and play like this! He got his underwear right, but both legs were in one pant leg and the other leg is coming out the backside like a tail. So cute!

And then last night I had all these bracelets on. I had taken them off and he said he was going to put them away. I went to go to bed last night and I find them spread out very strategically on the night stand. I just kept smiling everytime I looked at them, so I took a pic. I love all the cute things he does!
